Assembly dynamics and system life
The system uses patented handles in galvanized steel which are recessed into the panels. During assembly, the handles are rotated 180 degrees to lock the panels together in a stable surface. No special tools are required for the actual installation. During disassembly, a specialized 'ejector' tool is used. This tool is critical to the longevity of the system as it releases the guide tabs without damaging them, ensuring that the system can withstand countless assembly cycles without loss of precision.

International logistics and precision
The entire system is optimized for global transport and safe handling:
- Packaging: 17 demountable custom steel transport racks / stacking crates (up to 60 panels per rack). All racks are equipped with protective caps on the feet to protect the arena's subfloor during handling.
- Certification: All packaging complies with international ISPM 15 – FAO standards, enabling trouble-free transport to all destinations worldwide.
- Transportation: The entire system fits in one 40-foot High Cube container or on a standard truck (width < 2.40 m).
Court configurations
The system is delivered in two professional court sizes adapted to different tournament levels:
- Standard court 44.40 x 24.453 m (1085.71 m²) – 974 full and 32 half panels.
- Maxi court (UEFA/FIFA finals): 45.88 x 24.453 m (1121.90 m²) – 1007 full and 32 half panels.
Warranty, operating conditions and maintenance
Since birch plywood is a hygroscopic natural material, strict climate control is a prerequisite for the warranty to apply and the stability of the material to be preserved.
- Environmental requirements: Constant temperature of minimum 18°C and relative humidity below 60% must be maintained during storage, transport and use.
- Legal framework: The warranty is governed by Italian law, specifically Article 1495 of the Italian Civil Code.
- Critical deadlines for complaints: All packages must be inspected on receipt, in the presence of the carrier. Transport damage, shortages or mismatched goods must be noted on the carrier's transport document and reported in writing to Mondo within 72 hours of receipt. Independently of this, the products must be checked and any defects reported in writing within 8 days of receipt; for hidden defects, the deadline is 8 days from discovery, and defects must be reported before installation begins.
System structure: Technical design
Mondo FBS is built to withstand repeated use without loss of structural stability. The choice of materials reflects the need for both mobility and uncompromising quality.
Layer-by-layer analysis (40 mm total thickness):
- Top layer (21 mm total thickness): Patented birch plywood panels. The system is available in different finishes: Type A (3.5 mm oak/ash/beech wood top layer), Type B (1.3 mm birch top layer) or Type C (monochrome varnish). The multi-layer construction provides extreme dimensional stability without the use of plastic parts in load-bearing components.
- Locking mechanism: Galvanized steel handles on the long side and precision-milled guide tabs on the short side ensure perfect leveling.
- Underlay (19 mm standard): Flexible sheets of elastic polyurethane foam (1000 x 2000 mm). To achieve correct technical performance, the system requires a foam layer with a minimum thickness of 15 mm.
